Mathew DeMarco completed his entry-level PharmD degree at the University of Waterloo in Canada in 2011 and has practiced in a variety of community and hospital pharmacy roles over the last 14 years. Mathew's recent clinical work includes providing care for critical care hospital patients, transport medicine patients, primary care patients, chronic pain clinic patients, and HIV/HCV clinic patients. Mathew also provides academic detailing education service for primary care providers on behalf of a non-profit government funded organization, the Center for Effective Practice. Mathew’s recent research as a PhD trainee at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy has been under the supervision of Dr Nancy Waite and Dr Sherilyn Houle where they have focused on expanded scope practices of pharmacy professionals in providing vaccination services in community pharmacies. Through this work, Mathew is a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation’s Pharmacy Technician Advisory Committee.
