Dr. Juthaporn Cowan is a Physician for the Division of Infectious Diseases at The Ottawa Hospital, a Clinician Scientist at The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, Associate Professor at The University of Ottawa, cross-appointed member at the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, and the School of Epidemiology and Public Health.

Her research focuses on infection prevention for individuals with immunocompromising conditions. She holds a Tier 2 Research Chair on Immunization in People with Compromised Immunity from University of Ottawa. She is a medical lead of the Ontario Immunoglobulin Treatment program and a co-lead of the Special Immunization Clinic network of the Canadian Immunization Research Network. She is a voting member of the Ontario Immunization Advisory Committee.
