Vaccinology Student Research Program Travel Bursary

Support for the cost of travel, accommodation and registration fees for the Canadian Immunization Conference.

Graduate and Post Graduate level students/trainees are eligible to apply and participate in the Vaccinology Student/Trainee Research Program (VSRP) at the Canadian Immunization Conference (CIC). The VSRP is a program held during the conference that involves a ‘meet the experts session’ (open to all students and trainees) and a student poster area, with a selection of the top applications for a mini oral presentation. Top applicants will receive conference registration and financial support to cover travel expenses and accommodation.

Up to 10 of the top applications applying for the travel bursary will be granted travel support and up to 15 of the top applicants will be invited to present a 3-minute oral presentation of their work.

Applications are now open.

  • • Enrolled at a Canadian university or recognized Institution in a graduate or post-graduate program (e.g., medical students, residents, nursing, laboratory science, social science, fellows and post-doctoral fellows). Students must have completed a Bachelor degree or equivalent. Canadians attending university outside of Canada are eligible to apply but will be requested to show proof of Canadian residency.

    • Students and their supervisor must both be CAIRE members at the time of the deadline.

    • Applicants who have received VSRP bursary in the past may still apply if they are in a different training program to the one they were in when they previously received it.

    • Applicants must attend CIC and participate in all the VSRP activities.

    • Students must submit the same abstract to the VSRP application and the Canadian Immunization Conference (CIC), through the conference abstract submission process.

    • Students must submit abstract as presenting author for the CIC.
