POST-SYMPOSIUM REPORT

The 2024 Canadian Association for Immunization Research, Evaluation and Education (CAIRE) Research Symposium was held in Ottawa, Ontario, in November 2024 in conjunction with the biennial Canadian Immunization Conference. The symposium brought together 60 participants representing a diverse range of expertise in infectious diseases, microbiology, immunology, epidemiology, social sciences, medicine, public health, nursing, research methods, industry, and community-based research. Participants included trainees, early, mid-career, and senior academic researchers, public health practitioners, community members, leaders and advocates, all of whom contributed to a stimulating and interactive session.

The symposium provided an important platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration across sectors and disciplines with the overarching goal of discussing current challenges and opportunities for equity considerations in vaccine research, evaluation, and education.
