BCCRIN is seeking research sites to assist with recruitment for the Canadian Clinical Research Participation Survey. The purpose of this survey is to engage and learn from patients and study volunteers about their experience with Canadian clinical trials. The Canadian Clinical Trials Coordinating Centre (CCTCC) has partnered with BCCRIN on the national expansion of the survey.
Results from this survey will be used to inform researchers, research sponsors and policymakers to aid in improving study design, clinic operations and research site procedures in order to reduce barriers to research participation and improve the experience for study participants in Canada. These results will be shared with participating research sites/institutions and various knowledge translation pieces will be made available for your use.
BCCRIN is seeking your help to post or distribute this survey link and the invitation where past or current research subjects can find it. Any Canadian who has ever been approached to participate in a clinical trial and either declined, did not qualify or participated is invited to respond. We are especially interested in those that declined to participate or failed screening. There are materials available for use that include:
- Full set up recruitment materials : http://www.bccrin.ca/promotion-materials-survey/ (Password: Promomaterials)
- Web-based, completely anonymous survey link: http://www.bccrin.ca/survey
*French translations of the materials and survey are also available.
Materials have been approved by the UBC BREB under provincial harmonized review and provided your site is not actively enrolling for this survey, local REB approval may not be required. Please check with your institution regarding which approvals are required. We are able to work with you to determine the best options for your participation that would reduce time or resource requirements on your end but allow you to contribute as a participating centre.
Please forward this information to your team. Your support is sincerely appreciated.
